Our jumpers are made from 100% wool. Wool in itself is an incredibly special fabric, it’s warm, biodegradable, breathable and thanks to the natural lanolin oils present, it’s naturally antimicrobial. What this means is effectively, you don’t need to wash your jumpers after every wear, in fact, it's better for the environment and your jumper’s lifespan if you don’t. After every handful of wears (we’ll leave it up to you to judge how often that is for you personally!) we recommend washing your jumper by hand to ensure it stays in top condition. Handwash it at 20 degrees in warm water using a cashmere or wool shampoo and then leave it to dry flat at room temperature. We’ve rounded up some of our favourite eco-conscious brands who are the perfect laundry partner when your jumper does need a freshen up.

Wool, Silk & Delicates Wash New to the market, Kair is already taking the laundry market by storm. The brand’s detergents are formulated with gentle, caring and protective plant-based ingredients with no harmful chemicals. The cedar in this delicates wash blend is also ideal for use with our jumpers thanks to its natural moth repellent qualities.

Wool & Cashmere Shampoo The Laundress is a much-loved (and Selfridges approved!) sustainable clothing care brand and this wool and cashmere shampoo has top marks. The scent has been handcrafted by top perfumers to enhance knits with a comforting, nostalgic odour combining warm citrus notes with velvety sandalwood. The bottle is also made from 100% post-consumer recycled material.
